Bike/ E-Bike Safety Event

The Terrell Hills community is invited to attend a Bike / E-Bike Safety Event on April 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Terrell Hills Police Department, located at 5100 N. New Braunfels Ave., San Antonio, TX 78209.

The event will include a bicycle safety class taught by one of our Bike Patrol Officers, along with a bicycle rodeo designed for younger children. Riders ages 10 and older will also have the opportunity to participate in a guided bike ride alongside our Bike Patrol Officers to practice safe riding.

We will also have hot dogs and giveaways available for participants. We encourage residents to bring their bikes, electric bikes, helmets, and join us for a morning focused on safety, learning, and community engagement.

Winter Weather

An arctic cold front arrives late Friday night, plunging temperatures well below average this weekend. An upper-level disturbance helps bring the potential for wintry precipitation, favoring the Edwards Plateau, Hill Country and I-35 corridor. Some light to moderate icing from freezing rain and sleet could impact road surfaces making them slick and hazardous. Temperatures will likely remain below freezing through the weekend over most of the Winter Storm Watch area, so there could be residual ice impacts on road surfaces even after the precipitation stops. Avoid unnecessary travel and take extra travel precautions if you do have to venture out.

As always, please remember to protect people, pets, plants and pipes.

Check local news stations and/or go to National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio https://www.weather.gov/ewx/ for updated information.
