Parks and Public Spaces
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued
regulations to comply with Federal requirements from the Environmental
Protection Agency to protect our rivers and streams from pollution. A
significant number of pollutants are washed into the storm water systems
which eventually end up damaging our public waterways. As part of these
regulations, the City of Terrell Hills is required to adopt a Storm Water
Management Plan aimed at reducing and eliminating these pollutants.

Terrell Hills is currently developing a plan and we need the community's
participation and input. We are currently in the process of identifying control
measures that are appropriate for the area.

Areas we intend to address include; Public education, Training of Public
employees in identifying and preventing pollution, development of
ordinances aimed at pollution prevention and developing proper control
measures for construction activities to reduce and eliminate practices that
damage our environment.

We will publish the Storm Water Management Plan Drafts as they are
completed. Continue to check this site for updates.

If you have questions or suggestions for inclusion to the plan please contact
Columbus Stutes who is coordinating this effort.
