Alamo Heights Capital Projects Update
As part of the City of Alamo Heights Capital Improvement Plan, contractors will continue replacing various water lines in Broadway between Claywell Drive and Blue Bonnet Boulevard working southward.
This week, another crew will begin the replacement of a water line in N. New Braunfels Avenue beginning at Burr Road and working northward. The work will be completed in sections and alternate north and south bound lanes of Broadway and N. New Braunfels Avenue will be closed intermittently during construction.
The City will be providing regular bi-weekly updates on this capital project by email blast and on its website at http://www.alamoheightstx.gov/cityservices/cityservices-construction.php.

San Antonio BRAC Growth Management Plan
TCEQ Update
The City has received notice from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality that a permit for Municipal Storm Water as required under State and Federal Regulations has been approved. For additional information, please see the storm water page.
Sewer
The City has completed the Sale and Transfer of the Sewer System to San Antonio Water Systems effective 6/11/2008. The primary benefit will be reduced sewer charges on residential utility bills from SAWS.
Calls for service or repairs should be directed to SAWS.

2010 Census Information
Terrell Hills is gearing up for the 2010 census. Census takers have already started visiting theneighborhoods to verify addresses. Following are some important dates to keep in mind:
Fall 2008 - Recruitment begins for local jobs for early census operations.
Spring 2009 - Census employees go door-to-door to update address list nationwide.
Fall 2009 - Recruitment begins for census takers needed for peak workload in 2010.
February - March 2010 - Census questionnaires are mailed or delivered to households.
April 1, 2010 - Census day.
April - July 2010 - Census takers visit households that did not return a questionnaire by mail.
December 2010 - By law, Census Bureau delivers population counts to President for apportionment.
March 2011 - By law, Census Bureau complete delivery of redistricting data to states
