Applications are currently being accepted for the following departments/positions within the City of Terrell Hills:

Police Chief

Candidates should have experience and education that equates to a Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in police science, criminal justice, public administration, or a closely related field. Seven years experience in law enforcement with municipal experience preferred. Other requirements include:  Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Texas drivers license within thirty days.  Possession of, or ability to obtain, Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education at the intermediate level or above.  Completion of related advanced training such as LEMIT, ILEA, FBI National Academy or similar advanced programs is preferred but not required. Any combination of experience and education equivalent to preferences noted above will be considered.

Salary Range: between $60,000 and $70,000. First review expected by July 15, 2008.
